You start out so well, then creep creep creep.

What I'd really like is for food to be a non issue. No counting, no measuring, no worrying about a bite. I just want food to be food.

ps.. I think Velveeta might actually BE plastic. :)Chanda (aka Bea)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12321020069183192224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-69295214118369381772008-09-17T11:22:00.000-04:002008-09-17T11:22:00.000-04:00As you get closer to your goal things may start to...As you get closer to your goal things may start to slow down a bit hence that pesky creeping. Then again, you'll get on that scale and WHOA! 2lbs gone.

Any suggestions as to font? Or could it be the size? I'm guessing it's harder to read because of the darker colour. I'll play with it some more time permitting.Manuelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09330448362043206094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-86968195019395984212008-09-17T09:51:00.000-04:002008-09-17T09:51:00.000-04:00VERY familiar with Dieter's Creep - love the name ...VERY familiar with Dieter's Creep - love the name though. :-)

It's exactly why I'm not losing at the moment, and why I gained back a number of pounds which shall remain unspoken. Not a ton, but up is NOT the direction I need to be creeping.

But you know what? Kudos for recognizing the Creep. Because .6 pounds is a heck of a lot better than my Unspoken Number. And knowing you, I'd be willing to bet you'll get a handle on it a lot quicker than I did.

Measuring sucks. Journaling sucks. But yeah, I guess gaining weight sucks more.

Here's to reversing the Creep. :-)

V.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-79160304613670140892008-09-16T20:48:00.000-04:002008-09-16T20:48:00.000-04:00I do the 'bite' thing, too, but so far it's in con...I do the 'bite' thing, too, but so far it's in control. Most of the time I feel comfortable with it, but every now and then I get the heebie-jeebies. "Is this the start?" Honestly, I don't think it has to be, for either of us. Sometimes a bite is just a bite. :)Cammy@TippyToeDiethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00547787031318303521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-25404387794353991152008-09-16T17:41:00.000-04:002008-09-16T17:41:00.000-04:00"Creep. Creep. Creep." (Crap.)Yeah, oh BOY do I he..."Creep. Creep. Creep." (Crap.)

Yeah, oh BOY do I hear you. And personally, I think my body somehow knows when I'm getting close to a big goal number, because I'll start with the miniscule increments and the backwards creep RIGHT before I hit it. I don't know, prolonging the anticipation or something.

But yes, diet creep, in my head, is combatted by Mad-Eye Moody shouting "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" in all his strident Britishness. I don't know why it works, but it does. It amuses me, and prods me just enough to get off my butt and do the whatever thing that I don't wanna.

And hey, the first step to correcting a problem is recognizing it in the first place, so you're halfway to beating it!

(And may I add, some of these word verification thingies are QUITE rude-sounding? I mean, "qunnydr"? That's PERSONAL!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-80394332159344936102008-09-16T17:27:00.000-04:002008-09-16T17:27:00.000-04:00Found your blog through Cranky Fitness, I think, a...Found your blog through Cranky Fitness, I think, and went back to the beginning to read the whole thing.

You really are a good writer! Also, just wanted to say how impressive what you've done so far is, even if it doesn't feel that way.

By reading all of your entries this afternoon, I can really see a difference in your attitude from the beginning.

Don't worry so much about maintenance -- you'll figure that out when it's time and be a success at that as well.

Congrats!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06645791926538907697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3380136761770650017.post-22135396745377431762008-09-16T17:11:00.000-04:002008-09-16T17:11:00.000-04:00Now I really like that term ....
